Bankruptcy and the Local Rules and Federal Rules

The Federal District Court entertains cases under Federal law, or State law  cases while sitting in diversity jurisdiction.  They administer the cases by operation of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.  The rules can be found at no cost at various internet sites.

Additionally, the Federal District Courts have their own "Local Rules".  Local District Court Rules for New Hampshire:


This is equally applicable to the Federal Bankruptcy Court which operates under the Federal Bankruptcy Code, as implemented by the Federal Bankruptcy Rules, and made operational by the Local Bankruptcy Rules.
