Some, but not all, of the fees related to a bankruptcy case will increase effective the date of November 1, 2011:
Amend Schedules = $30 (formerly $26)
Records Search = $30 (formerly $26)
File an Adversary Proceeding = $293 (formerly $250)
Notice of Appeal = $293 (formerly $250)
Bounced Check = $293 (formerly $250)
Record Retrieval = $53 (formerly $45)
Certification = $11 (formerly $9)
Exemplification = $21 (formerly $18)
Document filing/indexing = $46 (formerly 39)
Title 11 Administrative Fee = $46 (formerly $39). Because this fee is increasing, that means it will cost $7 more to file a Chapter 7 case and $7 more to file a Chapter 13 case i.e. Chapter 7 filing fee increases to $306 (formerly $299) and the Chapter 13 filing fee increases to $281 (formerly $274).
It is also anticipated that the median income numbers may change as well, and because of the economy, it is possible the median numbers will increase downward which would make filing more difficult.
